Christening gown - The gown is 48 inches long and my son and dil are thrilled with how it came out. Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions. I still need to embroider the name and date and my dil wants me to also put my name on it so in years to come all will know who made it and when. Hugs, Barba

How beautiful! What an heirloom you have created! You did a magnificent job with the heirloom stitching. I'm making my second christening gown out of the bride's wedding dress. I would like to not have to cut into the dress, but that's want she wants. It would be much easier to use yardage to cut from. But, don't we love to make our loved ones happy?! --Sandra

just beautiful. I am crocheting one now and will put a tag with the baby's name in it, but haven't thought about my name there also for future generations to see.....great idea!
