I'm helping a friend learn how to use a computer. (As she looks after our garden when we are away, I'm happy to do anything I can in return.) Now, you may not believe this, but she has never even used a typewriter before!
She is getting on really well and has now got a bit carried away with cataloguing her photographs. I've just spent an hour looking for the ones she dragged and dropped into files other than those she was aiming for and she has now gone home to do her homework.
We did have some laughs though and I think we both feel some satisfaction!

How sweet of you to help her. I know the grrrr and "well done" of this activity as I have helped a cousin with hers. She now has a memory problem and we go over things on the phone as she has moved about 6 hours away from me. I love that I can help, even if it is just a little bit.

i know how she must feel i think my friend had to sit on her hands many times with me. but i know she will help me any time iam in a corner. with abig smile. and iam still around to tell the story.

Hay that was me to 4 years ago .Beleave it or not in my day we never had to take typing if u never wanted to so i took Shop .Now u know why i have such a hard time on here hugs carolyn

How wonderful of you. My sweet sister-in-law, God rest her soul, used to work for us and when we finally made her start doing some things on the computer she came to my DH and said, "I think I just sent the payroll out into the internet somewhere." What a great laugh we all got from that. ;)
