More fun with buttons. I wanted to create the impression of a herbaceous border which looked like hand embroidery. I used cotton thread. I think the design needs another couple of layers.<br /><br />
Dennis, if you look carefully, you will see where I had to change to a lighter weight thread.

Many thanks Sue. Incidentally, I heard that the Chinese stock market has gone up ever since you started buying those buttons...lol. I must say though, this is a great idea, adding a new dimension to the design.

The butterflies are a new addition to my growing collection!
I'll have to have a look at that site again and support the Chinese economy too. Can't understand how they can make and send the things for such a low price.

have you tried washing anything made with these buttons ....i have also got some off ebay and not sure if they will run....what do you think...x

I agree. I wouldn't wash anything with wooden buttons on it. I remove them and stitch them back on after washing!
