Dragonflyer.....the fibers will give you a more textured or 3 D look and the film is more convenient and as easy to use as mylar.....I say more convenient, because with the fibers I have to get the iron out and melt some together, although when you have time, it is fun to see what combo's of color you can come up with.....so I like having both on hand.

I use angelina fibers. Sheets are fine also. You can use any heat fusible fiber on the market. I choose fiber over mylar anyday for any project. also i tear it away vs, cutting and reuse the scraps over and over.

Basically The Hot Fix Angelina Fibers are heat bondable with an iron and bond to each other or you can bond the Hot Fix Angelina Film to the Hot Fix Angelina Fibers to form a sheet of polyester type fabric that is very glitzy.
You can combine several colors of the Angelina Fibers or Fiilm or both and heat bond them together to get different color effects..

The Angelina Hot Fix Film can be used in any designs that are digitized for Mylar. The Angelina Film is stronger than Mylar and less likely to rip when the item that you use it for is handled alot.

The Film can be used as is without heat bonding it or you can combine different colors of the film and heat bond then together to form a sheet of a totally different color.

The Angelina Hot Fix fibers once heat bonded form a sheet of polyester type fabric which can be used as an applique fabric or be placed under any embroidery design or .to add a glitzy background to the design.

The heat bonded fabric can be used to add glitz to Free Standing Lace designs by placing the heat bonded fabric on top of the water soluble stabilizer and then stitching the FSL design on top of it and then cutting the excess fabric away before the final outline stitching of the FSL is done.

Some of the Criswell Lace designs call for Organza as a base fabric to stich an appliques type FSL design on and you could substitute the heat bonded Angelina Fiber fabric instead of Organza for these types of designs.

Many use the Angelina Hot Fix fibers in Quilts too.
