My Sweet P is one today. It doesn't seem possible, though I know that the older I get the more quickly time flies. Her mother is teaching her Spanish along with English and it's so precious because she calls me "baby" in Spanish. The other grands call me Ninny because of Lyn in my name, the first tried to say Lynnie and couldn't pronounce an L and in Spanish (for the non-Spanish speakers) baby = nene. Sounds very close to Ninny.

Oh what a sweetie, how the time goes when they are young. My grandchildren are bi lingual and its much easier to learn a second (and more) languages at a early age. A neighbours children are tri lingual. I still have difficulties with English - oh dear me

It's never to late to learn another language. I'm learning Italian and it's getting harder each week, but it's fun. Gorgeous picture of your grand-daughter Jerrilyn. Love and blessings Chris

I have some friends who live up in the frozen north of England and I can't understand a word they say. I have also given up trying to converse with young people as I haven't a clue what they are talking about........innit! As a drinker of British builders tea, I get by when abroad just by saying F-U-N-E-T in as close to whatever foreign accent is appropriate.
Poor Dennis, abroad you probably only get a watered down version of your favorite drink. As for youngster, they seem to have a secret language of their own and their writings are incomprehensible to all but the initiated.

She is so precious. Perfect time to learn another language when they absorb everything. Yes time flies faster and faster as we get older.

I guess you will always be Ninny ,now. I was supposed to be Mama Kay, but the first granddaughter always called me Mama Kay Kay, and it stuck. We don't always get to choose the name we are called. Your granddaughter is precious!
