A is for Alli Booties....my first machine embroidery project on some booties I made for one of the baby girls I care for. (Bootie pattern and embroidery design both freebies) I hope she likes them :-)

I've made a few pair of these booties and do use a little less elastic (for a tighter fit) on babies that are very, very small. Since the kids are with me 10-12 hours of the day it's no problem to measure and get a good fit to their little feet. If they are walking I put some dots or hearts of fabric paint on the soles to create a "nonskid" texture.

Thank you! I'm used to years of hand embroidery and machine embroidery is very different to me. I've been experimenting for months with different stabilizers, fabrics and thread to get a feel for it. This is the first thing that isn't in the scrap bin
