Ohhh, another Bodice...this one has embroidered straps attached and instead of a full bodice at the back, it has an elasticized back bodice piece...Different shape to the bodice and...Sizing is easier here bacause the elastic is so forgiving to the sizing...not sure if I prefer the tie straps...easier to adjust...but, hoping my kiddles will enjoy the summer in them! Love to hear your thoughts on this one...Thanks, Cuties!

Oh my, it is absolutely stunning, the straps just finish it off perfectly. Looks like an original one off designer dress which would cost an absolute fortune to buy. :) Don't know which dress I prefer now as both designs are beautiful. Diana*

I love it! It looks easier to do for those of us with hoops smaller than huge. Is the back done ITH as well?
Thank...actually, the back does not have embroidery so it doesn't need to be done ITH...it's gathered with a casing and elastic run through...easy peasy, especially for the fit! Straps are done ITH and the front bodice...love that I can have the embroidery design match the fabric!

This is precious! I would love to learn how to do ITH bodices, but, alas, my machine's largest hoop is 5 x 7. Don't think it would be large enough??

You could probably do one if the armholes weren't a part of the bodice...you would probably need to use bias tape and include the armholes in the skirt portion of the dress...that would work for hoops your size...

This is just gorgeous Kim - can this pattern be purchased anywhere? Are you selling it on line somewhere etc? I'd love to do some for our gran-daughters next summer. Love the way you have incorporated the strawberries and watermelon designs to match your fabric. Great design, love and blessings Chris

Oh, thank you, Chris for your kind comments...the pattern is my own...and selling it seems too complicated for my feeble mind...I do love that the focus bodice design can be developed to match the fabric...that's the real fun!

That is positively adorable!! (Don't ya wish that adults looked as cute in those dresses as kids did?? They look so cool and comfy!!)

Thank you...and you're right about adults...there's just something cheeky about tots with twirly dresses.

Very adorable and anything with elastic is a plus when fitting little ones and lasts longer when they grow.

So true...and as fast as they grow...it's hard to keep up...fortunately, I have very creative nieces...they will put a turtleneck and colorful leggins under the dress and the girls wear them all year round!

Oh my gosh, these are so so cute! It seems that you have quite the following. Any chance you might re-consider and post the design for the dress? I'm having a new granddaughter in late october and want original designs. This would be absolutely perfect! Hugs to you!
