Jelly Roll Quilt Top. this is done in black and whites. It is for my adult son. I used the jelly roll technique from the you tube link I have put below.. I am hooked on this method and plan on doing more...I hope to finish this quilt in the next week or two. Winter has really set in here with early morning frosts....

Great piece. The combination of colors works. Did you make your jelly rolls or purchase them?

I purchased the jelly roll. Never thought of making my own, I guess I could I have so much material..the jelly roll only cost me $30 and then I bought more fabric for the borders...

yes Pauline I got the border fabric from Spotlight at Toowoomba the other day...I am going to put a red/maroon backing on it the extra wide one you get with the scrolls on it... My Son has a cold house it is on the ground and I mean 'ground' so I have to try to keep him warm with this and new thicker curtains, only has a small heater at the moment, the split system broke down it got a frog in it apparently the part that sits on the ground. I believe they now make these parts frog proof, what a pity we still had the old model in his cottage...

thanks Pauline, it is always the shortest day of the year on the 22nd June....I gave the top to him and told him I plan to finish it REAL SOON, and I am making him new curtains for his cottage also. Have to get fabric from Spotlight on Tuesday it is on hold at Morayfield...half price sale.. So I have plenty of sewing ahead of me...love and hugs Kerry
