Update on my Ruby
I got a new machine after much trouble with the machine that I bought 2 years ago, now I got Ruby Deluxe with the new Stitch System and embroidery Q foot - I just say 7-9-13 (knock on wood) just hope that I am now finally rid of all the banging sounds from my ears lol

Soooo happy for you. I love my Viking machines, however, their service leaves a lot to be desired! If they work, they are GREAT; if not, it takes a long time to get it all straight! Glad to see you're ready to roll on sewing now!!

Sigrun, I am so glad you got an (updated) replacement for your Ruby! I love my 2 1/2 year old Ruby that only makes those banging noises when I use prewounded bobbins, which are just a fraction thinner than the Husqvarna bobbins. Have you used the sensor Q foot? I wonder if it is worth buying as an extra.

I use the new Q foot for most of my embroidery and especially when quilting. It holds the fabric down close to the plate. The opening is a bit larger and rounder. I didn't like the small opening of the old one.

So happy that they replaced your machine, of course you know I had mine replaced last year. Many problems with my first Ruby but this one, knock on wood is great. I think the problem with Husqvarna is they produce new machines so fast they don't take the time to ensure their functionality and unfortunately it is the Customer who pays.

Yes, but it is the worst that they do not admit that something is wrong, but I said they have replace everything that could be replaced and it made no difference, so now they have to let me have a new Ruby and they can have this banging sounds Ruby - and that they agreed with and I´m happy.

Hope this solves your problem. I liked the Ruby that I had but I traded up to get the Diamond. I love the style of the new Ruby. I understand that the new tension system is great. Have fun with your new machine!
