Thought you may look at a few baby things-the newborn caps are My soon g-daughter & her cousin Ellie.Ellie's name is from heartstrings name library.The baby day gown, I hand smocked and embroideried.Here is a photo of it pleated,before I finished the stocking

Before I finished the smocking, not stocking.sorry. Hope you all like.The sleeves are long sleeved and the gown is long. It should fit a newborn.-Toogie

Your work is beautiful!!!! What a special gift ! Makes me want to start smocking again! But, I am now doing a counted cross stitch bride! and it is beaded which I love! I just want to do it all!! lol Not enough time....

I know what you mean.I haven't done cross stitch in a long time,I recently crocheted an edge to a white blanket, I made the baby to be.I like to do different things, too, and also there's not enough time...

Your hand smoking looks better than mine. Did you machine or hand stitch your rows? I have not done the stitching yet, now I see yours I think I can move forward. Thanks for sharing all the pics, especially the last one!

I pleated it with my pleater, this just makes the pleats, for me to smock on.The pleater threads are the black threads in the last photo, at bottom photo.Then I hand smock the cables,at the neck edge & diamond shape designs.Then hand emb the flower.Then of course, I sew it all together to make dress.

You can see my pleater a little bit in the bottom photo. This just gives you the pleats to work on.
