Pencil case.
I digitized a raw edge applique and stitched it on recycled denim. Added lines with my sewing machine to make it less bare. Which was quite a challenge as it turned out using my left foot on the pedal was not as easy as I expected it to be. Well, two more weeks and I might be able to use the right again.
I did not like the raw edge, or rather the thin outline that much, so I changed it to a 'normal' applique to be used on a different project.

Martine....it IS groovy as shilly said. I have tried a couple of the raw edge and I don't love them either. I believe it is my compulsion to be neat.

It was nothing serious, just surgery on a torn Achilles tendon. Nuts and bolts, not life threatening. Seems to run in the family. My son had the same surgery last Wednesday :(

It is a fun bright cheerful design. I also like finished edges. I guess it is because I was taught to finish edges.

Dank je. Mijn dochter kwam vandaag mijn 'hok' binnen en wilde het etuitje meteen hebben - maar ze heeft er al genoeg van me gebietst.
