Hi my friends, I am working on a presentation to do the lace for a high-end wedding. I need lots of ideas and a bit of encouragement. Please let me know of anything you can think of that would impress in the theme of "Snow White". I know it may not be on the scale of William and Kate, however this is my Mona Lisa...

I will put my thinking cap on (such as it is) but since you mentioned William and Kate and your project being a high-end wedding, may I suggest that you avoid anything suggested by her sister Pippa Middleton!

Lol! OK if you say so. I saw the wedding and thought the sister looked great, what do you know that I do not?

When you say you are doing the lace, do you mean you are making things with lace designs on it, or do you have to make free standing lace items?

I was thinking along the lines of ladies handkerchiefs, maybe table napkins or runners in lacy designs sewn onto fabric, or glass base holders in fsl. You could even put some sort of fsl design on a namecard for the tables. What about lace bonbonerie bags, do you know the ones that hold those sugar coated almonds?

I don't know if there are any 7 dwarf designs anywhere and I know Snow White is a copyrighted design unless you have a Brother sewing machine which has the inbuilt Disney designs on it. So have a look at dwarf designs and snowy designs in lace.

Good luck and I'm sure others will come along soon with other ideas. Love and blessings Chris

Thank you Chris, I have put all your suggestions on my list. I do need to stitch out at least 1 bag of each type to take with me. This project may get exciting!

I keep thinking about all the different keepsakes the bride and groom give to their guests to take home with them. Some are holders for rice, or bird seed, or bookmarks, even butterflies. They all depend on the theme of the wedding. Two years ago we brought home a navy blue beta fish in a bowl. Crazy. Do you have something for a take home gift in lace?

lace hearts with bride and groom name and maybe the date. I think Yoriko had one. I would think don't go too complicated if you need to make a lot of items
