Tote bag, eyeglass case and checkbook cover for sister-in-law

The tote bag was supposed to be a table runner. I saw this new version of wedding ring quilt from Sewing with Nancy using circular attachment. I thought it looked fun and bought the attachment and gave it a try.

However, I made some mistakes in the order of placement of dp different colors. If made into one flat piece, the mistakes will be very noticeable. Therefore, I made it into a bag!

You can see the wedding ring detail on the inside.

I used the same fabric to do the in the hoop checkbook cover. I digitized it myself. It was a lot of fun. My hoop is only 5*7, so I did a little bit of sewing on my sewing machine.

My sister-in-law defeated cancer twice. On the eyeglasses case which I also digitized, I put her initials on the flap, the "cancer cannot" quote and a pink bow on one side , and "Don't mess with me, I beat up cancer" on the other. Those are freebies from sewforum.com (I think).
