Bibs bibs bibs

My favorite of all is the one with roses. I've made 3 of this design. The first one had the original bow design in the center piece. The second one is for Lily. I used a rose font. The third one was for my neighbor's granddaughter Hazel. It's from threadsnscissors.com.

I used hankerchief linen and batting for the first two and weaver's cloth for the last one. Obviously weaver's cloth would be less expensive and it has the same great look

The giraffe design is from threadsnscissors. It's nice but it's too small. Only for newborns. And the lace part took too long. I did it in my 5*12 jumbo hoop. Split the design in embird. I don't think I'll make more of these although I have 2 whole packs of different animals. It's just not too usable or cost effective

I digitized the shape of the last one. I did it in two hoopings with my 5*12 jumbo hoop. It's a generous size. I am not satisfied with it and haven't got around to improve it. I made the part behind the neck too narrow. The font is rickrack front from zippydesignz. The Lilies are from stitchdelight.com.

well done, the one you made is lovely! The shape is really nice, making th eneck a bit wider is a good idea too. I agree the giraffe looks a bit small but like you say cute for a newborn. The first 2 are really pretty too! All in all they are really cute! hugs

Lovely work. I often wonder how do you sew the bits together. I cant see any seams. Is there a trick to it?

Which one are you talking about? The rose one has satin edge so you make three pieces in your embroidery hoop and zigzag them together with your sewing machine.

The giraffe one is done using wss. you cut away the fabric out of the placement line and the lace part is only on the stabilizer.

Mine is finished with a sewing machine. Just leave a small opening for turning the inside out.

The design and other lovely designs are 1 dollar each today and tomorrow. They update their 48 hour group special every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I check there regularly. The other site is bargainembstore.com. They share the same shopping cart.
