Hi Cuties: Do any of you have a Janome XG43D serger?

I am thinking of buying another serger, and one of my local shops has this one on for half price. My old serger's presser foot lever broke and can't be fixed. I don't use the serger as much as I used to, so don't really want to spend a fortune on it. Any help would be appreciated. Hugs Jerri

I spent a lot of money on a fancy Viking...and the thing I wish I had was a free arm. My cheap oooold singer had the free arm, but I went fancy with the digital stuff and all the Viking promised and didn't get free arm. don't know about the Janome but look for the features you really "must" have.

Thank you. I don't use the serger much anymore and do have a more expensive one. I don't need anything fancy, just the differential feed is all I am wanting.

I have the Janome 1110DX model for a serger. It has been a very good investment for me. I don't know anything about the XG43D but I do feel Janome makes a very good product. In fact all my machines are Janome made ones. Hugs, Mary

Thank you Mary. I too have heard Janome are a good brand. My regular sewing repair guy is away for a month, otherwise I could ask him.

Thanks Carolyn, I don't use it as much as I used to either. I do more embroidery now. I can still use the machine, I just can't lift the presser foot up. I am going to see what my regular repair guy says when he gets back next month.
