Potholders with hens
Based on the coffee mug rug design from Omas Place, I changed the coffee cups to hens and added two pockets to make them into potholders.
The hens were filled designs but I skipped the body filling stitches to make it faster.
The designs would show better on white or beige, but I decided to use red canvas to make it more practical.
I used one layer of insulbright and 1 layer of cotton batting to make them heat resistant.
The shape and faux binding is from Omas Place. The hens designs are from stitchdelight.

Thank you! I've made many potholders in this shape before and they were very well liked. I compared the sewing pattern I have with this oval shape and this is slightly smaller, which doesn't matter at all.

Nice potholders. I like your hens, they look very pretty this way.
It's always a good idea to see if you could use outlines only - or leave them out. Makes your design stash so much more versatile. Like I did with my ringmaster.
