Burp Clothes that I embroidered for a friend's grandson due any time. I bought diaper fabric, stitched out the design and then sewed flannel on the back and both ends that matched the embroidered design. After washing several times the designs have puckered so instead of using staberlizer I used quilt batting between the diaper and the flannel. Hopefully, these will hold their shape. I think my friend will enjoy using these with her grandson, Keaton.

The diaper fabric does naturally pucker since they are made to absorb and usually 100% cotton. They are a lovely gift that she will get lots of use out of.

Hi,
Lovely job. But pardon my ignorance. Did you use the quilt batting and embroidered on that instead of the stabilizer? I am in the process of making some and this would be good to know.
Thanks

Yes, I used quilt batting instead of stablizer for the embroidery. I haven't used it before, but it works well with quilts. So I'm hopeful.
