I love your colors. I made one like this mostly green and red back in early 90's. I got blue hook just like that. I know wrist problems so yes I can see slow and maybe even a break here or there.

Its beautiful Carolyn. My friend told me about crocheting with plastic bags too, but I have not tried it, but you might like to try.

Carolyn this is lovely never crocheted a rug but I helped my sister=in=law braid a full room out od fake fur it was so pretty
nice and warm for the kids to play on.

Looks good, but where do you get the rolls of fabric?? The pictures show what looks like ribbon, if so, that would be one expensive piece!

Its just wonderful Carolyn, but Oh your poor hands, still just like me you had to have a o at it.

So pretty, Carolyn......I have a circular one that I used strips of fleece and knitted together.....the cats love it!!

I have done one, but I have never seen a whole roll of fabric precut...I made mine from leftover fabric that I cut into strips...nice job! They really hold up well!

Wow! Hadn't seen one of those in years! Made my mama one and she hung it on the wall in her bathroom for she refused to step on it! They are a lot of work and do wash up well and are thick. I enjoyed making it and also made fabric baskets too. In fact I still have the blue crochet hook. VEry well done and your colors are so pretty. Roberta

Yes, many years ago there was an Avon clothing factory in Martinsburg where I lived. You could buy these biased rolls in many colors for 25 cents a roll. My Mother and I made many rugs. They were easy and washable. Two of them are in a Historical House in the area now. Fond memories of what we could buy there.

I did many with Pendleton Wool salvage. Used a S hook Not all hearts tho, some round, oblong, big and small. AND Yes, it is hard on the hands and shoulders. Fun project

Yours looks great-justlike a heart. I did one several years ago and it took a lot of "fanigaling" to get it to look like a heart and I think it weighed about 50 pounds!

Good job on and they hold up well. I've only done rectangular ones for bath mats and cut up worn out cloths and rolled into a ball. Then we found the Amish in Ohio would weave the balls on their looms into rugs of different sizes and never made anymore after those.

I make my rugs with mostly 2 inch strips of sheets. Mine is called toothbrush rugs and I love it. I sit at a table and do them because I want it to stay flat. It is almost like your crochet on but you use something like a blanket stitch with a welt. I don't have the pattern for the heart because they wanted to much money for it but I really love them. My hubby just ask me to make him one for his side of the bed. We just put a laminated floor down. I told him he will have to wait for a little while because we are going on vacation and I need to get the baby things done for new GGD to be born in Dec

So where are you putting this rug? You did well, I bought a book on it last year haven't done any yet, I have been checking out opp shops for bright sheets to cut up, only got one so far...who knows maybe I will never get around to it, but it says cut the strips at 2 1/2 inches...

Love your rug.. My Mom made some by braiding heavy fabric and then sewing the braid tog with a heavy thread .. However her's were round or oval ,not as creatives as your heart which I think is really nice. They are still useable. wish knew where to take them to have cleaned. She even made one out of a nylon and it was nice as the strips rolled when cut so were like a tube to braid.. I can see where you crochet would be a lot harder to do. Congratulation.
