The ladies are the Slapdash Appalachian dance team. There were actually some younger people around but they missed being on the film!

Looks like a fun day, tell me what is the instrument the last guy is playing? I have never seen one, and we have been around music a long time.I also had to go back and read your shirt, as others were making comments about it,I hadn't noticed.LOL-Toogie

It is called a Strummer and is a cross between an Appalachian dulcimer and a guitar. (Strung, fretted and tuned like a dulcimer but played like a guitar.) They were invented by Hugh Scullion who hand makes them to order.
