Thought I would try out these coaster, mine were a gift with purchase on OPW, from Kreative Kiwi (link below) I purchased some dollar sets, and was very surprised to see a coaster like everyone is posting. Then I had to use my Embird program to make a round one. The round is perfect for glasses. I did top stitching on it after it was complete, to help hold it's shape after washing.

Isn't that rope border stitching on the oval coaster beautiful? I have this as a free set too and have stitched a few of them. Great work with your circle coaster.

Both of these are very nice. I love the Gingham and living with a thankful heart.

I have the round alphabet coaster as a gift from Kreative Kiwi too.

I noticed that it's the same idea as the faux binding from Omas after I bought the coffee mug rug design from Omas Place. (I seem to be the one who started the oval mug rug fever!) Because the ring part between the outer circle and the inner circle is wider than normal binding, it never resembled binding to me.
