My 3rd project with my 'new' 5x7-Designs By Sick eyeglass case. Found this in my ITH folder, from long ago. I used tear away in the hoop(1st mistake,I will use WWS next time), then laid fleece next to stablizer,on top of fleece I put cut-a-way for body/stiffness of my case, then I put my green fabric, right side UP, on top of all. Then I stitched the front.(2nd mistake, I forgot to trim at the top of front before the satin st) I then took my hoop off the machine, but left everything in the hoop.I laid fleece on the back of the tearaway first, then cut-a-way, then my green fabic, with the right side DOWN.I pinned it together, out of the way of stitching.I replaced it on the machine and did my tack down and straight sts around. I then took it out off the machine again DON'T UNHOOP. I trimmed all around the front, flipped it over and trimmed all around the back.Hooked back on machine and did the final satin around....I don't know if I'll use fleece inside again.I wanted it next to sun glasses so they wouldn't scratch, but it is hard to get the edges clean cut. I KNOW that I won't use tear a way, cause I spent almost as much time cleaning it away from quilting, as emb time! This took me some time to do, maybe because I didn't have instructions with the design(freebie at Sick). If someone can give me advice on fabrics, stablizers they used,I welcome it.- Toogie
I like your first attempt, ITH projects are fun - you might not agree completely given your experience with this one, but they really are.
