I finished my Party Girl Dress & it turned out better then I expected. I have 2 more to finish & then I can move on to something fun & less work lol. I think her pearl buttons could have been a bit smaller & I laced the ribbon through myself & had to stitch rip it out twice because each side for the bodice goes a different way but for some reason I couldn't get that it my head & it is really hard to pick out lace! But I did it finally. The sleeves could have been longer but I am really happy with the end result & glad I am making only the one LOL

boy the camera even shows that my hem is not invisible I hate sewing by hand I am not good at it! I have to say that way back when, I did a pretty good job on my porcelain dolls & they have held up really well considering they are from the late 80's to the early 90's. I have only had to repair one hole in the whole bunch.

A trick I learned when at school was to do the herringbone stitch for hemlines. So you sew into the folded hem and then catch only 1or 2 threads of the dress and then loop it back over and under to make a knot, then pull gently and go onto the next stitch. That way there is a little bit of give and it doesn't show so much. Love Chris

they only thing I see is you need one more button at the bottom if you look at the others there is 2 buttons close to gather but not at the bottom .
