Thank you. I made many a square or heart-shaped pincushion the same way, so why not a hexagon. Might put a different design in.

Really great! I like the modest border you can frame it yet again, double matting is used frequently in framing pictures.

I wanted to keep the embroidered part inside a 5x7 hoop. If you don't mind using a sewing machine you can skip the last colour and make the border (or borders) as wide as you want.
