Aug 26 2013 Here is Dragonflyer's Heart Potholder. I love the pattern and how she makes it. Less stress. I used 2 layers of flannel instead of batting, and I did not put in the heat resistant material until I was ready to turn. I did it this way to avoid needle punctures, I then had to top stitch, which I thought would be so hard going through 8 layers. It was like cutting butter. I guess new machines have their moments.

Going with what I have! It is harder that I thought to find a pattern to contrast for this stark colors, and I would have preferred my fabric cut in the other direction.
