For anyone doing the mug rugs. If you don't like hand sewing the backs get some fabric glue. I use Beacon Magna-Tac 809 permanent adhesive. It leaves a much nicer finish than hand sewing and faster too

I think I bought it on line but any good quality fabric glue would work

You can also tuck a little heat n bond or wonder under in the space and then iron it to stick it all together. I use this trick for lots of turn when finished items.
