As you know I am a big fan of split designs so for my homework assignment we had to create something using the things taught to us in class so I did my own Split Santa & I am really very proud of it. My instructor said that I should have created a more 3D leaf effect & he was right about that. He also said I should have made the moustache with a satin stitch but he was wrong about that. I tried it with the satin stitch & I personally did not like it that way so I chose a weave fill instead. I hope that you like my finished result. I do My assignment was handed in @ the beginning of July, & the font used here is the Aka Dora font that he showed us. I used fleece fabric for the appliqued white & quilted red for the hat I am thinking of adding a pom pom to his hat out of wool

I have not seen hers? I did this myself a couple of months ago & I have submitted @ the beginning of July on my own.

Wow hers sure is close to mine! But hers is definitely different & I'm sure will sew differently too. She has some really cute ones there too. Good thing you pointed it out because I was going to try a snowman too.
