Some of you may have noticed,i have not been sewing much lately???Well i been in the bush picking wild blue berries .Here,s what they look like!!Two friends i go with lol. They are very low and some lay on the ground .I pick into a 4 lit. pail then sale them .Well i gotta get back to work .Thanks for looking ,we don't look nice as we are only bush girls with layers of clothes on hugs Carolyn

Love these pics!!! My SIL, DD and I picked about 21 pounds of blueberries in about 1 hour the other day - but, we had to pay for them!!! I have a great - Quick and Easy Fresh Blueberry Pie recipe if you are interested!! Hugs, Laura*

This reminds me of my childhood days when we would go out and pick the wild berries on our ranch in northern Canada. They look delicious!

Brings back memories of childhood here as well Carolyn - We would spend the summers in the country there were strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, crab apples, chockcherries - seemed to me Mom and my Aunt had us out there picking one or the other and then they would be put up for the winters....good memories...Hugs Glenda x0x0x

They look yummy - and so worth the effort!!! Brings back my childhood memories of berry picking in the fields behind our house. Oh, but those bushes had thorns and you also had to watch out for the poison ivy!! Mom made berry pies or tossed some over ice cream or cereal for us.

I was thinking about snakes!
The bears love the berries -- so you must be careful when you are picking. Bears are very territorial. We used to have two of us with rifles in case a bear attacked. The first shot was into the air -- the second was into the bear. Of course we didn't have such a thing as bear spray back then.

They look great Carolyn. We used to go blackberry picking when I was a wee lass in Adelaide. When Trev and I lived in Victoria we took the children strawberry picking and I'm afraid more got eaten than what went in the bucket he he he! Love Chris.

Wow, you picked a lot...what is the difference between a wild blueberry and the ones grown domestically for the marketplace? Is it size, flavor, color...all of the above?

I love to do this - the ones I pick are cultivated on a farm, and he encourages you to eat all you can. ("Sample") I always go without breakfast and come home with a tummy ache! I love to eat them out of hand or with sugar and milk, or with cubes of pound cake.

it must be well worth the effort, can anyone just go and pick this fruit, or what. We have blueberries off a tree here in Australia, I don't have a tree though. but I do absolutely love them, they can cost up to $8 for 250g some times, I only buy when on special about half that.
