HI. Yes it is faux suede, as it had a black background you get both colours on the fringe.
Excellent. I forgot to ask about the design.Where did you get the horse?

I love this. Wonderful job. Do you cut the fringe before you sew it together or after you have it assembled? Did you use a pattern available to purchase? Thanks for sharing. Auntie

I did cut the fringe before I sewed it together. The pattern is very simple, Just 2 squares , lined with a pocket inside.
Thanks for answering. Wow!! It looks way more complicated than just 2 squares. I have never sewn fringe, but being a child of the seventies, I am thinking I "need" something like this!!!
