This morning we had to say goodbye again to our guests from our sister city Dicomano in Tuscany. We love them a lot and real friendships have grown regularly visiting them and they us. In September they use to attend our annual
Wine festival Winzerfest in Groß-Umstadt and I wan to show you the fantastic historical costumes they have made. Not to forget Alesandro! He is blind but you nearly don't notice. My family went to a sightseeing day tour and were so impressed. He also is a good singer and translator knowing many languages

Das sieht toll aus Maria. Seid Ihr denn auch im Gegenzug zu Besuch in der Toskana? Wie schade, daß wir hier keine Partnerstadt dort haben :o)

ja, wir fahren jedes Jahr ein Mal hin und im Gegenzug kommen sie dann zum Winzerfest (auch die Franzosen und die Portugiesen). Da ist immer 'was los. Die Partnerschaft mit Dicomano gibt es seit 3 Jahren. Das hat der Bürgermeister gerne "angeleiert", weil doch alle so gerne Wein trinken :-) Also, ich finde, Heidelberg sollte auch eine Partnerstadt in der Toskana haben! 2 der Mädels auf dem ersten Bild waren bei mir zuhause, und wir hatten viel Spass

Yes, we really had a great time and we were lucky - the parade was in between a lot of rain but these were 3 hours completely rain-free
