My zippers I ordered from Wawak came in this evening! My quilted zippered purse design was from sewforum, the 'A' I added. The blue one is for my daughter, she wanted to drop down in her purse, for a little makeup, lipstick, eyeliner, etc. The pink has a strap for a little girl to carry on her wrist.I didn't want to go to a lot of expense, so how do you like how I attached the strap? I have enough of these pieces to make 25 bags at a cost of $1.59 at Michaels.(got them 50% off,reg $2.99 plus tax) I want to make some as christmas presents for my bus kids/Avery's girls in her class.Thankfully she only has 3 other girls in her class.LOL....scroll on down this post. I may have to put the last photo there since it is taking so l..o..n..g to upload

Good idea to add a strap. They become a lot more practical.

Yes, I made them.I cut one 1 and 1/4 in and the other 1 and 1/2 inch(wasn't sure) by 12inch.Then I folded each long edge in to meet in the middle and pressed. Then I folded edges to meet in the middle again and ironed. Then I stitched both long edges. You probally know this but I was explaining for those who don't. Thanks-Toogie

Thanks Karen-I was trying to keep the cost down and those swivel hooks/clips were too expensive, at over a dollar a piece. It may be alright if you just made a few, but it adds up if you make more.

You are very welcome and it only took 3 working days to come in by FedX. I have plenty too.LOL You couldn't find them at a better price, even their regular price isn't bad.I was dissapointed in some quilting pins I ordered, though. They pick/hang on your fabric, uhg.I need to let them know.

I love how you added the little ribbon on the zipper. And the split rings were a neat idea. They look great and I'm sure Avery's friends will love getting such a marvelous gift...
