I've just pulled a bunch of carrots up from the garden and found these two love birds. The variety, by the way, is Purple Haze.

Trev and I have them frequently, we have them here in Australia. You should see the colour of the water when they are cooked. Carolyn, would love it! It's really PURPLE! Love Chris

How interesting! It must have taken you a while to get those two love carrots apart.

That's an interesting "twist" to a carrot saga.
I've never had a purple carrot. Do they taste more like a beet?

No - just like a carrot! Interestingly I have some bright yellow beetroot as well.

I wonder if they would make a good fabric dye.

I think it would be a weak grey.
