Gift boxes:

Hi Cuties: This is what I have been busy doing all week. I bought my DIL and Granddaughters all Pandora bracelets and their birth charm for Christmas, so made these to put them in. The design is from Stitch Delight and where on sale for $1.00. They have over 70,000 stitches per box, but thought it was a lovely way for them to keep their bracelets.
The varigated thread is from Metro Threads which is also on sale.
Hugs Jerri

Very pretty and the variegated thread is very nice too. The lace box just makes it extra special. Your DIL and Granddaughters will be thrilled.

I believe you, when you say you have been busy! They are lovely and I am sure you and they will be loved. It is never too early to start making for christmas, although we don't want to rush it, we rather not be rushed last minute.

Thank you. I hate to say it, but I am almost finished for Christmas. I learnt years ago to have all my stuff done by November. When I was working, it never failed that the closer Christmas came, the busier I became doing things for others, so I learnt the hard way to get my stuff done first. Now I am retired, I still like to have mine done ahead of time, that way I am free to do things for others. My co-workers used to laugh at me, but come December, when they are all stressing, I had the last laugh

Thanks so much for stitching out these boxes. I also bought these designs but have not stitched them out yet. I think putting the bracelets and charms in these makes a lovely gift even more special.

Your welcome. After all the parts were stitched, I joined them to the base, then soaked them a little, before they were dry I formed the shape and stuffed paper towel inside so they would dry the way the show.

Hi Jerri. so pretty. Did you use exactly the same thread in your bobbin? Or did you use bobbin thread which is the same colour as the embroidery thread? I sometimes have trouble winding the embroidery thread onto a bobbin as it seems to slip, causing the thread to wind very unevenly.

Hi: I just used white prewound bobbin thread, as the base colour is white with the variegated thread on top. I never use bobbins that I wind myself for embroidery anymore. I only use white and black prewounds.
