Tea towels for the oven handle. I wanted to show you a close-up of the cat, from Embroidery Library, I cut some of the background out with my Embird program. After it was all finished I thought hmm it seems to be missing something, out comes the fabric markers , and started colouring in some of the design. Oh why couldn't I have thought of that before I even started I would have used a stronger green for the leaves. These are going to be presents, for the Canadian Thanksgiving.

Did you cut a pc off of the same towel or did you use 2 of them?
yes, I have a plastic Template for the handle, so I just cut that much off the towel. On the template have lines so I can center the designs (pumpkin) and for the velco which I just so on the underside

They look great well done. You say you have a template for the top part..is it a bought item or did you make this up yourself that you would be able to share with your cutie friends?

I just made it, took a piece of paper over to the stove wrapped it over the handle to get the length 8 1/2 inch worked for me.,then cut it to a width -3 3/4 inch plus seam allowance, curved the edge. Once I had what I liked, then cut it out on a piece of plastic, on there I marked where I wanted the Velcro to go (underside make sure you sew on the Velcro before you sew it to the front), the center line and center mark for the design. Now I have a hard pattern with all the marking and easy to see through. I just embroidery the design then lay the template over , make sure everything lines up, mark and cut. Hope that helps.
Thank you for the nice clear instructions on how you made the topper for these towels.:)
