I really don't know. They are 100% cotton, good quality waffle weave from India. They were on sale at the hardware store and I bought all they had. Then on to the fabric store and bought 1 meter of waffle weave for 1 1/2 times as much and I still had to make the towels. I've gotten as far as cutting them out.
