Sept 29 2013 I heard rumor that automatic updates includes IE-10. Do anyone have the process to stop this from happening? I am afraid to turn off my machine! I need to stay at 7 and they better let me! Thank you!

I have IE 10, use it with no problems.....but not sure if it's the same in IE 7. But when you are using IE click on the "TOOLS" icon (upper right hand corner...looks like a cog) and then click on "About Internet Explorer" then a new window will pop up. Then un-tick the check mark on "Install New Versions Automatically". Hope this helps.

I have my machine set to download and notify -- not do automatic updates. That way I can see which updates are being applied and select only the ones I want.
I do not recommend that most people use that method. Too often they will expose their machine to bad stuff by not allowing the regular updates.
I am curious as to why you don't want that update.
