and another big thank you. It is a pleasure to get your news everyday. It's even more the daily cute cats, the wise notes and, of course, not to forget the freebie links.
Thank you - Maria

Liebe Maria,

Danke liebe Bettina - siehe mein Kommentar oben :-)

Hello all cute girls here :-) !!! I am so delighted and surprised to get your birthday wishes - even in German language - and thank you so much for thinking of me with the lovely flowers
Only: It is the other way around (misunderstanding American way of writing dates and the European)
My birthday is May (month 5) 10 (day)
So my next birthday will be May 10, 2014, and then I will be a new
member of the 60s club :-) (year of birth 1954 - time goes by so
quickly) but thank you so much and wishing you all a happy weekend with all my heart. It is so nice to be part of this family and to learn so much all of our lifes - Maria
Below a picture of my twins and me

You are not 60... you look 40! do you have a secret or is it "natural"? Your twins are beautiful!
by grossfamilie 06 Oct 2013
Oh, thank you for the "flowers". No, I have no secret but maybe 6 children, 3 grandsons and lots of friends
and family and you "my" cute family keep me so busy and happy that I forget I am getting older every day. But you haven't seen a picture of me early in the morning after having slept not enough :-) Love and Hugs Maria

Maria, Americans just don't get it - the way ya'll do dates. Hope you had a lovely day any how and get ready, 60 was (and still is) a big shocker for me. Start boosting your vitamins, nutrition, exercise, whatever you do!!!!

Maria, sorry for the misunderstanding.. why is the world sometimes so complicated ? does anybody actually know why there are 2 different ways of writing days ?..

Hi, I think it is funny but, of course, confusing and what a treat to get extra attention of my cute family. Thanks again.
No, I don't know whether there are different ways to write dates. I think the American way is the more logical computerized way but you need the year of birth first then. In my office time we used to keep computer records that way to enable easy search by matchcode
Have a great week - Maria

Well Maria, as the song in Alice in Wonderland goes,

"A very happy unbirthday to you, to you,
A very happy unbirthday to you, to you,
It's great to drink to someone,
And I guess that You will do,
A very happy unbirthday to you!

He he he! Love and blessings Chris.

P.S. Great picture of you and the twins.

We have the same problem over here in Australia.

We always put the date first, then the month, then the year.

So for example 5/10/1954 and not 10/5/1954 etc. It's very confusion for the people doing the birthdays.

On my list I keep I always write them out like 10th May 1954, of 16th November 1953 etc. etc. That way I know they are right! Love Chris

How sweet of you! To not only present me with the lovely bunch of red roses and the kind words but also text me an
unbirthday song. I really love it especially now NOT to have a birthday .... wouldn't it be nice to celebrate our unbirthdays with all the cute unbirthday-girls here together? Thank you once more and have a great week
by grossfamilie 06 Oct 2013
...and what I forgot to mention: It is particularly nice to celebrate an (un) birthday without getting older.
Nice and easy...
