This past weekend we celebrated our Thanksgiving & I found myself short a large hot-pad so I had to make do with 2 small ones. I decided since I was not able to find a larger hot-pad to purchase I would make one. This is what I came up with & it was quilt as you go style with applique & embroidery all rolled in to one. It has a layer of warm & natural & Insul-bright on top. I am very pleased @ the way that it turned out & I think next time I will make it reversible with a pattern of something on the back too

This is so cute. I have a "quilt as you go block" in shades of pink, black and white, just like this and haven't come up with an idea on how to use it. You've inspired me!

This is adorable. You have a wonderful stash of orange fabric. I still need to collect more. The Jack O'Lantern in the middle is just too cute. Really nice job. I'm not familiar with this technique.

Thanks Gerry but I will put the pad on the table & the hot dish on top of it. It is 15 x14, a good size pad. The insul-bright will keep it warm & that is good too. LOL Hugs & ***

The face I took from another pumpkin design & then I enlarged it & changed the shading to add the gold colour. The rest I made up myself.
