I have cabinet doors in my computer desk and Entertainment center that are recessed. It is Mission style. I got a brain storm today to cut a piece of heavy cardboard the size of the inset and pad it with thin batting and then embroidery something on some cloth and stick it in. I'm think I like it!

Thanks you! It will look great on your cupboards. I think I'd try with and without batting.

This is just a perfect design for that cupboard. Not too fancy for the plainess of the cupboard, but interesting enough to be eye catching. Good work!
