I so wish I had digitizing software and new how to use it. I need a Grinch (or at least the face) with the words Bah-Humbug that is 2 inch tall by 3 inch wide for a gift card holder I am making for my Dad. And the ones I found on line (that aren't $20.00) look like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or angry Kermit The Frogs. And that is not at all what I am looking for. LOL

Firstly, welcome and I'm glad that you are here. Secondly, your proposed use would be an infringement of Geisel-Seuss Enterprises' copyright in the Grinch image. Sorry, but no can do. You will have to purchase the design from someone who has purchased the rights to the image.

wow that is good to know. Thanks I just got my machine 2 months ago and I am still learning about all this. I have also been looking for fabric with little Grinches on it but every thing I have found is in very large print :(

Have you tried to google grinch fabric by the yard?? You never know what you'll find, check ebay and etsy too. Welcome!

Welcome to Cute!
A legal design would cost at least $20 possibly more. Please be careful, make sure you get a legal design.

How can you be sure you are getting a legal design. Being new to all of this. It might server me best not to get anything that could have copyrights. Until I can understand more about this new world I am exploring. I will just keep looking for a fabric with a smaller Grinch printed on it. Maybe I can go to Dallas Tx next week and find some.
Thanks everyone
Sherise

Hi Sherise, Welcome to Cuties! I think the best way for you to go about this would be to adapt whatever you are trying to do is to use that larger print Grinch fabric. We are very careful here to abide by all copyright laws.

Welcome to Cute...I see you have gotten some very good information from other Cuties below...hope you are able to find some fabric to help you complete your project...or perhaps another non-copyrighted design that will do....
