Is this a sign from Heaven? At my DH's Funeral there were 3 tunes played which were his favorites. The other day while I was driving to my Stepsons place for his birthday I had the radio in the car on. There was just talking and then suddenly one of the 3 tunes came onto the Radio. Was this my DH wishing his son Happy Birthday?

I sure believe he was wishing his son Happy Birthday. Not long ago I had a similar experience driving past where my sister used to live. Hugs Shirley

Grief-time doesn't run like normal time, and I don't think that clock ever winds down. I'm glad you had this experience of there being something more for all of us out there than just this we see. It was grace to hear that song, I'm glad for you, and I understand with my own heart. Huge hugs, Marji

It was "With or Without You" by U2. The others were "Time to say Goodbye" and "Wind Beneath My Wings", but this version was by an Australian singer as John liked this version best. These were some of his favorites.
thanks :):)will go hear them lol

I believe that there is a spiritual world that surrounds us, in a warm and loving way

There is a song by a group that has long been forgotten but one of their songs was a favorite of my departed brother. He had sent the lyrics to me in a letter. No one even remembers the group , much less the song, but every once in a while I hear that song on the radio, and I know that it is him.
Please tell us the song.

I'm sure it was. There is an other "world" out there. Some time after my mother died, she send a message to my husband in his sleep, saying "that is was ok here, that it is a place with no pain"..so I know she is doing fine now.

I believe it to be so.
On the first anniversary of my Mothers passing something amazing happened. I was in the garden with our gardener and noticed a dove sitting on the roadside pavement pacing up and down, occasionally popping her head through our gate. I didn't pay too much attention and carried on. My dogs barked at her but she still stayed close.
An hour later I bid our gardener farewell and I went inside. Moments later my doorbell rang and a man was outside the gate saying that he had been watching the dove and he said she wanted to come inside. I let her in - I picked her up and walked up to my fish pond where I had been weeding, and perched her on the side and she proceeded to watch me as I continued. Not even the presence of the dogs scared her away. I become increasingly curious and went to pick her up again - and she let me!
I decided to put the dogs inside and she walked up the path behind me and hopped inside after me. Because of the dogs I though it best to put her on my shoulder out of harms way and I walked into my Father's room to show him. He couldn't believe what he was seeing...he'd loved birds all his life. He put his hand out and she did not flinch as he stroked her and he quietly said: "It's Mommy and she's come to visit you". We both teared up. By now it was dinner time and I had to cook, so I put her back at the fish pond. A few moments later the dogs started barking and I went to see if she was ok only to find she had hopped up the step again and came back into the house. Well, by now I was beside myself so I put her on the back of my kitchen chair and proceeded to cook. Imagine the clanging of the pots etc!
A while later my DH arrived home and I went to the door and told him that we had a visitor. Well you can imagine his amazement as she flew onto his shoulder! I took out the camera and took pictures of her on each of our shoulders. Just after that I took her out and put her back by the fish pond, checking on her now and again. In the morning she was gone.
I will never forget that experience, and people I tell can hardly believe it either, but those who knew my dear gentle, Mum would consider this message nothing less than that of the Dove of peace - my Mum personified.
Enjoy those moments when your DH touches your inner soul and know that he will always be watching over you.

Beautiful story. I know they watch out for us in heaven and these small miracles prove it to me. Nice to know your Mum was watching you and let you know she was ok.

Yes!!! His love is still with you, and all he loved, as yours is with him. Rejoice in it, even though your heart is still broken. It's meant to be a comfort, at least, if not a healing. I know, from experience, and sympathize profoundly. It will be 6 years this Thanksgiving for Bud. It was 13 years on October 7 for Richard. And it still hurts, don't feel alone in this. Love, Marji
