I was thinking about making some seat belt covers when this idea poped into my head!!These are pot holders from the dollar store.

How clever of you. I make covers for curling irons out of Dollar store potholders. Basicly the same idea but I sew them shut.

Just fold it around the strap where it is in contact with your neck, then close it up...
thanks, have never seen one before. the way it is folded would be great for a frying pan handle cover too.

Great idea!! Do you think the seat belt would have fit lengthwise or do you think the potholder is too narrow? And, do you have any hints on sewing on Velcro???? Hugs to you, Laura*

no and no just sewed the Velcro with width of the potholder to make it strong!!Easy pesey!!!

I have woollen ones on my seat belt as I hate it cutting into my neck. You just basically wrap it around the belt near and mine are velcroed - dead easy. Love Chris

Loving the project. Don't know about you but I'm short and the seat belt hits my neck under my chin. Don't see that happening on taller people. This is a great idea. I have a purchased one so may make a couple for the other cars.
