I made these last year. VERY popular! I've made some up for the craft fairs this year. I wasn't finding candy canes when I started them so I used red and white pipe cleaners - twisted together and then bent to form a cane. No worrying about breakage when packing for show. And they are lightweight so don't pull the ornament when hanging on my little tree display.
