I bought a new software program and installed today--it cost $5.00--and is at http://www.bowsandclothes.com Just a simple software for merging designs and for importing fonts to write names and phrases. I love it! Had to try it out. So easy to use...just a few clicks and I have a cute design imported and a name to go with it. Saves to 4" and 5x7" hoops--.pes only. I mean, for that price, how could I go wrong? Beats the heck out of my PE Design for simple merging. Called CombineDesign and they have a youtube video to watch and a PDF user's guide. I'm so in awe--it's the first software the young man has ever done. I'm anxious to see what innovative embroidery program he will come up with next. Did I say how easy it is to use, or how much I like it? This is excellent program for those who can't afford pricier ones, or just want to work with fonts primarily, or joining 2 or more designs into one hoop. No, I am not affilliated in any way. Just slogging thru this miasma --looking for easier ways.

Very interesting. Though the cost is $10. Certainly would be a good program to merge things for those starting out using pes.

Re your question about ttf's...the program works with digitized fonts. Maybe I will use some of my gazillion if I can access the letters inside the folder w/o having to open and pull to another site on the computer. But if I keep touting it, I will have to ask for a commission from sales. haha If you're interested just go to the site and see if it is worth $5.00. It is to me--already. I've played with it all day!

The program is new to me, but I found it easy to bring in fonts, write a name, and pull a cute design to add. At the page site, you can click to watch a youtube video where she demonstrates by building inside her hoop. No, you cannot rotate designs, nor can you size or format. The format is locked in ,pes. But there are other programs to do other things, and this is just an eezy peezy way to write your words into a single design ready to stitch out.

That's odd..yesterday I only pd $5.00. I wonder if I got it on special, or the price went up? Hmmm....that's a prime example of inflation...100% increase. I got a bargain, huh?

Yes, you did. Thanks to you I got one also and still a good price. How many times I have wanted to use fonts and don't because doing one at a time is a pain.............
