This is an amazing realistic applique quilt which took 16,000 hours to do.It is just a shame that you can not zoom in to see the detail ,that must be there to achieve such a life like scene.

Beautiful quilt, lokks so vivid. Have tried to google it to find a better view. She has a page at facebook (hirokomiyamaquilt) and a own page (maybe a server problem - it is still loading..).

I clicked the link above ,then on the left detail & was able to zoom in on the photos using the mouse but I think the photos are from something different although the theme is similar

She has a whole bunch of quilts on the site, she did, and her mom and dad did together, her dad even won a prize for a small wall quilt of one of the dogs, go to the site, it's worth it!

1600 hours according to her site. That is 4.3 hours every day for a full year. She did not say how many years that they worked on this. Nor was an answer given as to why it did not win a prize at the quilt show.

Oh..My Goodness! That work is beyond description. One can only imagine the dedication that goes into creating something like this.
