OK.This is more an idea then a tip and it works! Some of you might already be doing this. When you finish an embroidery and pull of the tear-you usually have quite a bit of stabilizer left.Don't throw it away. They can be joined on your normal sewing machine using your largest straight stitch and used again to stabilize more embroideries.I just put one on top of the other as close to the edge as possible, just enough to be able to sew both pieces together. When you pull the tear-away from your embroidery you just have to snip the stitches on the stabilizer.Clear as mud?

This is a good tip Mpo. Because it is sometimes a nuisance to go to my 'ordinary' machine I just dab pritt stick here and there and that holds the odd pieces together to enable you to use them up.
what is pritt stick and where do I get it
Pritt is a brandname for a very hand glue stick.
Now there is an idea!
I see Mops has partly answered your query Minnieb. Pritt is a brandname for a very clean & easy to use stick of glue for sticking paper & card. It is safe & solvent free. The bottom of stick is pushed up as the glue is used - I use it a lot for card making & it does a good job of sticking odd bits of stabiliser together.
Thanks for the great tips! I was thinking there was alot of waste after doing a project. now I can salvage some of it. Flowers!

If you use soluble thread to stitch your leftover pieces of stabiliser together you won't need to worry about trying to remove the stitches from your embroidery as they will disolve in water, either when washed or sprayed. hugs, M

BE SURE AND MAKE THAT BOBBIN AS WATER SOL.! YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET IT MIXED UP WITH ANOTHER BOBBIN!
now that could be fun

Don't forget to iron the pieces. I keep them on a tray and once in a while iron the lot and construct handy sheets.
