Hi Cuties!!! Just a quick note! Most of you know I started moving months ago, well, being an (older) lady, I could not do much of my packing myself, so had many helpers. Well, I don't know who packed my hoops and cords for sewing machines, but I took care of actual machines, and as soon as one was wrapped and ready, it was grabbed and taken to a vehicle. Well, I still have not found hoops. I went & bought a new cord for the Brother, but didn't think of hoops, Soooo, as I am discouraged with not even starting my Christmas gifts yet, I went on line and am expecting a new (refurbished) Brother in the mail Thur or Fri. It is just like the one I have only not Disney. It is a 770, and I can't wait. My DH & I were planning on getting another Brother for me after the Viking bit the dust, and then he was called to Heaven, so I was just doing what was planned. Once you get used to 2 machines going at the same time, it seems so senseless to waste time waiting for one to sew out!!! hahaha! And my Brother sews out so much faster than the Viking did. So, of course, another Brother was a certainity! AND there is a local shop that repairs them! Real nice people. Thanx for reading my post! Hugs, Judy

Well Judy, I hope you find your hoops. When I'm looking for something it's usually in the last place I look that I find it. I love my Brother and at the moment have the Husqvarna Designer 1 and the Brother Quattro Innovis 6700D going at the same time too. I hope to finish off some of my things for my annual Christmas ladies luncheon for next Thursday 21st November. Good luck with getting all of your Christmas things done. Love and blessings Chris

Congratulation to your second machine :o)
I have a Janome and have bought a brother as second one cause my Janome is such a diva. Now the Janome stand still most of the time and my little workhorse is doing the job :-)

As I read your story I thought 'there's a mighty spirit that won't lie down!'
Thankyou for this don't-give-in message. Sometimes things get a bit heavy on the shoulders and messages like yours can perform miracles and you don't even know you're doing it. Each day begins with mighty plans for me and each seems to end the same way and nothing has been achieved. Will today be the day your message gets me going????
I am so glad that you've got a new machine in time to make some Christmas pressies and have lots of fun creating them.

Alma, my new to-do list always have 1 item that I can accomplish in 5 minutes. Then I always get to mark something off my list. Try it. It feels good. ;)

I love those 5 minute projects!
Also, you should always add the things to your list that were never there in the first place. Things like cleaning up broken glass or taking a friend to the doctor. Even those "quick" trips to the store should be included. Then at the end of the day you will feel more accomplished and you will know why you are so very tired.

Congrats on a fresh start. Reminds me of how I got a new sewing machine. Would have been pleaed to keep sewing on my 1975 Singer Futura II, but DH packed away a bunch of stuff when we were having the SS class over and my attachments and tools and parts have NEVER been seen again. Five years ago! every so often, I ask him about it and he suggests a new room they "might" be in - the basement, the master br, the bath, the library...

things happen for a reason and this could be the way that your DH made sure you had your new sewing machine.
Enjoy your Brother and Bless you
