These 8 Snowmen Cutlery Containers (from Embroidery Library) are the last things done for my annual Christmas ladies luncheon next Thursday.
Amy's coming out this morning with Ophelie and Delphi, to help me with my Christmas letter to all our friends interstate.
At 11.00 I've got to go and get Mum to take her to the Chiropractor. She had a Cortisone needle in the spine on Tuesday and she is still in pain, the needle was meant to alleviate it. She has had Sciatica now for a month and it's really getting to her. She never complains, so I know this is knocking her about! Please pray that we can get this under control. We are meant to be taking her to Adelaide in the beginning of December! We won't be going if she doesn't get better! Love Chris

They are adorable! Sometimes it takes a few days for the cortisone to take effect. I sincerely hope this is the issue. I don't know how well she can move but this position helps to alleviate Sciatica pain for me. I get on the floor and put my lower legs over an ottoman with my bottom up against the ottoman. I look like a kitchen chair that is lying on its back. I have a pillow under my head and a blanket over me so I won't get cold. I have laid like that and eventually fallen asleep because the pain finally lessened enough to sleep. I can make no promises, but it has helped me.

Yes, she's had these needles since 2009, so she knows they may take a while! Mum has tried everything for the past month! She is nearly 80 come January and of course at her age, her bones are not as good as they used to be! I can only hope we can get her better as she said she can't bear the thought of living with this pain. She will have to have something done and pretty soon. Thanks Karen for your thoughts. Love Chris

These are lovely Chris. I hope that Karen's suggestion can give your mom some relief as I too have been told that it can up to a week to get relief but that in the end it is worth it. I will keep her in my prayers too. Hugs ** Loralye

Yes, I think Mum was hoping it would take effect quicker than last time, but of course she is a couple of years older and her bones are not as strong. I'll just keep helping her out with whatever she needs. Love Chris

They go at the back of the design. There is a pocket section you put on separately after the snowmen are finished. I'll put up a picture for you Carolyn. Love Chris

Hi Chris - give your mum my love even if she doesn't know me. Sciatica is a rotten pain and anyone with it deserves the very best of love and attention. I do hope she gets to have her Adelaide trip.... she's just a tad older than me and I can vouch that people 'our' age can be awfully stubborn and if she's planning on a trip to Adelaide then maybe you'd best plan on packing your bag anyway.

Hi Alma, I'll certainly let her know you are thinking of her. We are all going to Adelaide Alman as the Test is on!!!!! We've planned this since about March this year! It's so distressing knowing that this is happening to Mum right at this time and with my luncheon and all next week. Last year poor dear had a massive skin cancer removed! We've been to the Chiropractor today and she seems a little better, but back there at 7.45am Monday morning! I told her I'm not giving up my Italian lesson! So early it is! And you are right about the ladies, they are always excited to see what I've come up with! Love Chreis
