15.11.13 I'm so sad cause yesterday we had to let our bunny Paul went over the rainbowbridge. We had him and his buddy Paula from an animalshelter this year in February and he was our darling with his fluffy furr. Looked like a stuffie no matter if he had his short summer-cut or his winter-longhair. So funny when he had hold his head high in the wind and the hair was waving.
Yesterday he was lying flat and gave nearly no sign of life. The vet says that his digestive system went wrong and he was filled with gas inside and he was in terrible pain. We decided to release him but it was hard for me and most of all for Anna...
Greetings, Bettina
so sad for your and the children. It really hurts sooo much - it's not
"only " an animal but a member of the family -and so cruel to have to make that decision - but you will talk now about life and death in your family and (sounds bad I know) that is a good "training" for emotions. Our life is an up and down and unfortunately we cannot prevent our children from getting to know the sad part... Take care - Maria
