My prayers for you... I hope your recovery is quick.

So sorry to read this. I was aware that there were a lot of problems with these drugs but was not aware that this was amongst them. Glad that the damage is not permanent !

I would not advise anyone to take statins. I take fibrates or Lopin and it works without the side effects. But it too will start tingling if you take too much. I only take a half dose.

OMGosh parkermom I am so sorry that you are going through this! I will add you too my ever growing prayer list. I had this happen to me with a prescription drug too I was having severe chest pains after taking the medication started with V , for 3 weeks the pain was so intense I thought I would have a heart attack! I stopped taking them & I told my Dr. then I saw on the news that people had heart attacks when taking this drug & some had died! I was fortunate enough to stop because I just knew it was the new drug! I am so glad that you will recover! Hugs Loralye

I am so sorry to hear this. I am glad you will likely have a full recovery. My husband was on a statin for a short time. He has had memory issues since. Unfortunately even though he is off the drug, it has not fully reversed. The sad thing is that the drugs companies want more and more people on these drugs.

Glad they found the cause! My Dr. has been trying for a few yrs. to get me taking Lipitor and I keep refusing as I heard of all the side effects, including causing heart attacks! When I ended up in the hospital a couple different times, he put me on them and I didn't know it and when I was released I discovered it! His comment when I saw him after was "well, I finally got you taking them while you were in the hosp." I told him I did not fill that prescription and would not take them and I found a health food capsule that works better! and no side effects!

I think acid blockers caused mine. I found out that they can damage the nerves.

Sorry to hear about this side effect on you. I can not take any statins, I get the same aches. But mine reversed in just a few days. Sending prayers to you. Suzanna

My husband took both Lipitor and Zocor for short periods. The doctor took him off saying they raised his liver enzines. He added them to his list of allergies. Sorry that you are having such problems. Joyce

Hope you'll get cleared up in quick time. My DH took Lipitor a few months and wound up in bed with low back pain so bad he was crying. He (pastor) missed two days of our revival at our own church. Couldn't even walk next door and sit for that long! After a few days off of it - pain went away!

hope you can get some relief, I took myself off Statins over a year ago, I am glad I did...dam those doctors, what they do just to make money

Try a
1) Schwarzkümmelöl a teaspoonful 3 times a day
2) Borax D 6 globules 3 times a day 10

An attempt is worth it ...
