This is a hat for our youngest grandson, but I need more of a pompom? I tried to tie this one in knots to make it look fuller but it is still thin & with the camera you can hardly see them? Can I still sew more to the top of it? He is only 3 so he may not care?

Can you loop them and tuck the ends back into the opening then tie again. I hope you know what I mean...make loops instead of just strings...
